Mrihani Basil
Uncommon variety of basil with a scent totally different from known varieties. Discovered by Rico Cech, in 1990, on the island of Pemba in the Zanzibar archipelago, off the coast of Tanzania.
Sow indoors, pressing the surface in moist potting soil, 6 weeks before the last frost. Transplant. Gradually acclimatize outdoors, before transplanting, at a spacing of 30 cm, when all risk of frost has passed. Regularly pinch off the buds to harvest and prevent flowering.
